Hey, I’m Suzanne Rothberg (she/her) the face behind Reforming the Talk. I’m a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and Sexuality Educator. I have been a WHNP for nearly 15 years, working in spaces such as outpatient clinics, and Planned Parenthood.

Reforming the Talk was developed after reflecting on my experience as a WHNP. Often the patients I would see in clinic had difficulty naming their own body parts. Discussing sexuality seemed to stir up feelings of shame and embarrassment. It became apparent to me that something needed to change. In a country that doesn’t seem to value the importance of comprehensive, age-appropriate, shame-free sexuality education, the responsibility often lies within the home. I am here to help.
